"And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love" -- 1 Corinthians 13:13 / NKJV
The
beautiful words of 1st Corinthians 13 remind us that love is God's
commandment: Faith is important, of course. So, too, is hope. But,
love is more important still. We are commanded (not advised, not
encouraged ... commanded!) to love one another just as Christ loved us
(John 13:34). That's a tall order, but as Christians, we are obligated
to follow it.
Christ showed His love for us on the cross,
and we are called upon to return Christ's love by sharing it. Today,
let us spread Christ's love to families, friends, and even strangers, so
that through us, others might come to know Him.

"It
is important to know that you have to work to keep love alive; you have
to protect it and maintain it, just like you would a delicate flower"
-- James Dobson
_______________
Lord,
love is Your commandment. Help us always to remember that the gift of
love is a precious gift indeed. Let us nurture love and treasure it,
today and forever.
