Commissioned to Witness

"Go, therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you.  And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age" -- Matthew 28:19-20 / Holman Christian Standard Bible

After His resurrection, Jesus addressed His disciples.  As recorded in the 28th chapter of Matthew, Christ instructed His followers to share His message with the world.  This "Great Commission" applies to Christians of every generation, including our own.

As believers, we are called to share the Good News of Jesus with our families, with our neighbors, and with the world.  Christ commanded His disciples to become fishers of men.  We must do likewise, and we must start today.  As tomorrow may indeed be too late.

Lord, every man and woman, every boy and girl is Your child.  You desire that all Your children know Jesus is their Lord and Savior. Father, let us be part of Your Great Commission.  Let us give, let us pray and let us go into this world so that we might be a fisher of men . . . for You.
